The Kansas Association of Taxidermists is pleased to announce the 44th Annual convention and competition. We hope you enjoy the show and please remember why we are here: To further our skills in the art of taxidermy and to educate our customers. This year the show will be held at the DoubleTree Inn by Hilton at Wichita Airport, Wichita, KS.

AWARDS People's Choice, Breakthrough Judge's Choice, Richard H Schmidt Memorial Award of Excellence, Best Habitat, Large Life-size, Small Life-size, Fish, Reptile, Waterfowl, Upland Game Bird, Turkey, Gamehead, Whitetail, Open Mouth Whitetail, Competitors Award(see rules below), Best Out of State Award - all awards tentative
SPONSORED AWARDS-WASCO Award, Polytranspar Award, Kansas Turkey Federation Award, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, McKenzie Distinguished Taxidermist Award, Whitetail Unlimited, and Van Dyke's Awards, SCI, and many more based on availability. Ben Mears and G2 awards for both Professional and Master classes on their forms.
2026 President's Challenge: TBD. It will be judged in the category level that you are in and eligible for all awards, however the President challenge award will be chosen via peoples choice. The award will be a plaque. To enter just pay a $20 entry fee and on the registration form fill out the line corresponding to this award.
Judging will start on Friday. After this time all entries will be placed in competition room by the competition room chairmen. Your mount is required to be photographed before entering the competition room.
Combined/Collective artists: Each competitor will pay the entry fee of $20, but only one mount fee of $20 will be paid per entry
