The Kansas Association of Taxidermists is pleased to announce the 36th Annual convention and competition.  We hope you enjoy the show and please remember why we are here:  To further our skills in the art of taxidermy and to educate our customers.  This year the show will be held at the Four points by Sheraton, Manhattan, KS.  March 23-25, 2018.

There is a schedule to help guide you through this exciting weekend of many activities and events!  If you have any questions please contact one of our board of directors - they will be more than happy to assist you in any way they can.

New for 2018

President's Challenge:  This year you can enter a life size bobcat for this challenge.  It will be judged in the category level that you are in for small lifesize and eligible for all awards, however the President challenge award will be chosen via peoples choice. The award will be $100 dollars cash.  To enter just pay a $15 dollar entry fee and on the registration form fill out the line corresponding to this award.

Judging will start at 12 noon.  After this time all entries will be placed in competition room by the competition room chairmen.

Combined artists:  Each competitor will pay the entry fee of $15 dollars, but only one mount fee will be paid per entry

Early registration drawing:  If you pre-register by the deadline on the registration form, you will receive a new shop apron and be entered into a drawing to have next years (2019) membership dues and convention registration paid for by the KAT.  (Mount fees will still be required to be paid by the winner if competing)




SCHOLARSHIP DRAWING for $750.00 MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING (A PREVIOUS MEMBER AND A CURRENT MEMBER). THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNER MUST PRESENT A SEMINAR ABOUT WHAT THEY LEARNED AT THE NEXT YEAR'S CONVENTION OR AT ONE OF THE QUARTERLY MEETINGS.  APPLICANTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING VIA EMAIL OR SNAIL MAIL TO:
